Orphanage & school — Monrovia
During the Civil War of Liberia, we funded and built an orphanage housing 37 children, then a school for the orphans and neighborhood children.
Our story
History
Founders David and Sammye Rogers have spent a lifetime ministering to young people—and building a movement of disciples who make disciples.
Called to the nations
Founders David and Sammye Rogers were teenage sweethearts who shared a common passion for ministering to young people. They have served churches in many capacities including children and youth pastors, directors of youth altar counseling teams, project directors of youth missions, and as Children and Youth Ministry Directors of Living Word Missions, Inc. founded by Russ and Windy Tatro.
While traveling the world they discovered little to no children or youth ministry in or outside the churches. God gave them a desire of their hearts to train, equip and establish leaders and ministries to serve the youth of the nations.
Milestones
Jim Rogers Youth Empowerment Center
We funded and completed a center providing affordable technical skill training—opening doors for youth to work, start businesses, and grow in faith.
Clubs, care & evangelism
Weekly youth clubs, evangelism teams, and humanitarian routes across Liberia and Sierra Leone—feeding thousands and making disciples.
Who we are
We are a non-profit organization whose purpose is to reach the youth of the nations, disciple them to make disciples, and bring relief to the orphans, widows and the destitute around the world.
